Upgrades within 10 miles of the centre of Bristol will carry no charge for delivery. Only the labour cost of fitting the item. We are more than happy to go outside of Bristol, however we may charge for mileage

How does my pc upgrade work?

1) Send an email (service@bristolpc.com) informing us of your intention to upgrade your pc. When doing so please try to give us as much information as possible regarding the specification of your current computer. If you are unable to do this we may have to visit you (free of charge in the Bristol area) to ascertain whether this is possible.

2) When we have maintained that the computer is upgradeable, we will call or email you to discuss what you would like out of your upgrade. We will then compile a quote for you based on the information given. The standard pricing for our upgrades is to teh right of this section. This will be the only fee/ charge that taken for the service (excluding the cost of the items used in the upgrades).

3) An upgrade can be carried out at your home address or you can bring your computer to us to install the new components. We encourage all of our customers to order the components themselves and of course we will recommend products that are suitable, using websites which are reputable. In this way you can control your spend and feel reassured that you are not being overcharged. We are also more than happy to order the components on the customers behalf.

4) When the component has arrived make contact with us and arrange a suitable time for us to carry out the upgrade. If we have ordered the components then we will call you to advise you that they have arrived and when we are able to do the installation.

5) when we have installed the new component you willl be given an opportunity to ask any questions and see the new parts in action on your computer. Once installed we will wait until you are fully satisfied to receive payment for the service.

The difference in the price of upgrades reflects the difficulty of the upgrade itself. The first part of upgrading your computer will be deciding whether it is actually possible to do an upgrade. It may be neccessary for us to come and visit you to establish this.

Once this has happened we will advise you (free of charge) about your options. When you have decided we can either source the item for you, or you can purchase it youself advising us of when it has arrived. We will then make an appointment to do the upgrade. Once we have installed the component we will ensure that you are fully satisfied before we leave.
