Bristol Computer Specialists started life in an internet cafe in 1998, where we started making quality custom made computers for our customers. During the past decade and a half we have made hundreds and hundreds, coming in all different shapes and sizes, from water cooled gaming pcs to super quiet media computers, designed to fit under a television. Computers have become part of every day life and it is important when buying one to recognise several factors;

1) Who you are buying the computer from - lots of larger companies will use the cheapest components they can while making your computer. They will also advertise the features of this pc in a way which makes you think you are getting something extra. The reality is that most of the features they advertise will all come on board with just one of the components (the motherbaord). In a typical pc made by one of these companies you will find the graphics, sound and many other features all integrated into the motherboard, they are mass produced and churned out in huge numbers. While this is fine if you just want to use the internet it is much more favourable to use dedicated components, which will give a vast performance increase compared to having everything integrated.

2) Where the service we offer differs is that we will inform you exactly what you are getting in your computer. Our quotes will come with what brand of component we are going to use, enabling you to make an informed decision. If you prefer you can advise us on what you want, or what your requirements are. We always strive to get you the best computer we can for your budget. So if you need something specific we will integrate that component for you, whether it be a blue neon light, watercooling or just a case you like the look of. When you receive your pc you will not only receive the unit, but all of the boxes and packaging to the various components that we have built your computer with. In this way you can rest assured that your computer contains what we have quoted for.

3) We will come and install the computer at your home or work address free of charge* (in Bristol and surrounding area, the rest of the U.K is covered by courier) and answer any questions that you have. We will not leave until you until you are happy with what you have and how it is working. Remote assitsance can also be provided to help you if neccessary. Your opinions and your satisfaction matters to us because it is what keeps us going.

4) When you purchase a system from us you will receive all of the installation cds or any bonus material that comes with the components that you buy. You will also receive an official copy of windows, NOT a recovery cd (many companies supply this instead, as it is a much cheaper alternative for them).

5) You can advise us what operating system you want, any computer will come with the option of Windows 7 or Windows 8. If you want a specific copy of Windows such as a professional version we are more than happy to include this with your pc (however there will be an extra charge in line with the extra cost of the software). The operating system will be pre installed onto your pc and checked before delivery. Remember you will always receive an official copy of whatever operating system you order with your pc and not a recovery cd.

6) Most of our computers are bespoke, we do offer a standard range, but we would advise people to get a system that really suits their requirements. In this way none of your money is wasted and we can focus whatever the budget is into getting you exactly what you need. We can produce a great variety of pc's in terms of look and function. This means that you can not only get the components you need but the asthetics also.
